Is Match G1 right for my pets?
Match G1 is designed for cats in homes where other cats or dogs steal their food, or where different diets, such as prescription food, need to be kept separate. Kittens under 6 months may be too short for consistent recognition.
How is Match G1 different from other pet feeders?
Match G1 uses facial recognition instead of RFID collar tags or microchips, so your cat has nothing extra to wear. It controls access to food already in the bowl, rather than storing and dispensing food, so you’ll need to add meals manually.
How does Match G1 help prevent food stealing?
In Match Mode, the lid opens for an authorized cat. With anti-stealing protection enabled, it closes when an unauthorized pet approaches, even after you open it through the app. After an app-controlled opening, it reopens once that pet leaves.
Do I need separate feeders for cats on different diets?
For the best separate-feeding setup, we recommend one Match G1 per cat when your cats eat different foods. This gives each cat their own bowl and helps keep their meals separate.
Does the camera compromise my privacy?
The camera stays off until a pet approaches within 25 cm, and an indicator light shows when it’s active. Facial recognition is processed locally using Edge AI, without uploading recognition images to the cloud.
How many cats can one Match G1 recognize?
One Match G1 supports up to 6 cat profiles. These profiles manage recognition and access permissions; they do not provide separate food compartments for each cat.
What’s the difference between Match Mode and All-Pet Mode?
Match Mode limits food access to authorized cats and records their individual feeding sessions. All-Pet Mode allows any cat to access the food and does not record individual meal data.
How do I clean Match G1?
The stainless steel bowl is dishwasher-safe. The bowl lid can be removed and rinsed with water or wiped clean with a cloth.
